PowerShift San Francisco 2016

I planned, organized, and designed PowerShift San Francisco 2016, an invite-only conference that brought together leaders across disciplines to brainstorm better ways of doing business.

Who: Attendees included GE Vice Chair Beth Comstock, Mozilla Chief Innovation Officer Katharina Bochert, CEO of Defy Ventures Catherine Hoke, CEO of OgilvieOne Brian Fetherstonhaugh, and Creative Director at MAP Design Lab Melissa Painter.

Why: The goal of the two-day event was to glean insight on potential opportunities to fund, facilitate, or create workshops to promote social good and inclusive behavior among Fortune 500 companies.

How: To further this mission, I created materials for and co-led a ninety minute module with The Medici Group's Frans Johansson. We collaborated with senior executives from SYPartners, McKinsey, Black Girls Code, and Paradigm to design a fast-paced townhall discussion about specific steps corporations can take to overcome unconscious biases.

As a result of the conference, a Grammy-nominated artist collaborated on a sustainability campaign with the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, the CEO of a multinational software company partnered with a prison reform advocate to help break generational legacies of violence, poverty, welfare dependence and incarceration, and two growth executives at large technology companies began to implement a talent exchange program.
